The history of our family-run Hotel & Spa Resort began more than 110 years ago with Villa Contessa.

Built in 1910, our Villa Contessa once served as a summer residence for a very wealthy society. Prominent and wealthy people enjoyed summer holidays here on the majestic Scharmützelsee. The illustrious guests of the time included many UFA film stars, famous writers and prominent athletes, but also dazzling figures from world history such as British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

Our Villa Contessa has always remained true to its excellent reputation. Today, our Villa Contessa is an enchanting first-class hideaway that combines great tradition with modern comfort and all imaginable amenities of a 5 star luxury hotel.
